Cross-cultural field workers face many challenges when their volunteering or employment takes them away from home. Staying in touch with friends, family, the field office, donors, and sponsors is a vital and essential aspect of what Cross-cultural field workers and mission workers must do on a regular basis - in addition to their day-to-day service in the community and with those they serve.
Keeping the lines of communication open lessens the gap between those at home and those in the field. Communication also builds trust and keeps everyone engaged and "on the same page". Good interaction with the worker they are supporting helps donors to know if their support has been effective and helps to identify what other needs the worker might have - financially, emotionally, and even spiritually.
Newsletters, blogs, and posts on social media (for those workers who are not in sensitive areas of the world) are how those back home get the "News from the Field".
The goal of News from the Field is to provide every worker with an affordable, simple, effortless and secure way they can communicate.
For Field Offices, non-profits (NPOs), NGO's and Charities, our news, blog and newsletter systems can help boost and drive greater engagement with donors and supporters and, most importantly, forge stronger links between them and their workers that, ultimately, help the workers be more successful in their service in the field.
